Database Drivers for CF8 is the cause of the null pointer exception error. HostMySite has an immediate fix for this issue. I found during my null pointer exception page errors that it seemed to be browser specific and somewhat random. Google Chrome and IE were the two biggest showing the error while Opera, Safari and FireFox rarely should this issue if at all. This immediate CF8 null pointer error is a fix that has to be done on the server side and not in myphp admin. So if you have upgraded to CF8 that was the cause. Hope this helps. Hi Ray, I have used soundings before and totally love it! Great app! I just downloaded a fresh version a few days ago and set it up on my server and discovered a new bug or an error on my part. I can create my survey's and my questions just fine. The problem occurs after you answer all the questions and submit the form. You will get the following error: [code] The SETTINGS argument passed to the init function is not of type struct. If the component name is specified as a type of this argument, its possible that a definition file for the component cannot be found or is not accessible. The error occurred in C:\localsites\SoundingsSurvey\cfcs\question.cfc: line 16 Called from C:\localsites\SoundingsSurvey\cfcs\survey.cfc: line 171 Called from C:\localsites\SoundingsSurvey\tags\surveycomplete.cfm: line 33 Called from C:\localsites\SoundingsSurvey\tags\surveydisplay.cfm: line 140 Called from C:\localsites\SoundingsSurvey\tags\surveydisplay.cfm: line 1 Called from C:\localsites\SoundingsSurvey\survey.cfm: line 42 14 : 15 : 16 : 18 : [/code] I'm pretty sure the forum is going to mangle that error message so here is a link the the output page with the full error http://survey.visual28.com/error.html Any Ideas? Correction. When entering comma delimited email addresses, after saving the settings, exiting the screen and re-entering the settings screen for that survey, only the first email address shows up. Ray, do you want me to open this in RIAForge?

I would like the results of a survey sent to multiple email addresses. I entered multiple email addresses, semicolon delimited, in the Mail Results To field. After I save it and return to the survey settings screen, only the first address remains. Is there a way to enter multiple email addresses? Thanks

I can provide guidance, but not write the code for you. You could add a new attribute that asks for the max # of allowed choices, and then use that in the display and validation.

I am using the Multichoice survey option and have 12 answer checkboxes for the question. I would like to have it so not more than 5 answers checkboxes can be checked for the question. Could someone please help me with the code for this? Thanks!

I'd like to see an option when logged in as admin to make templates available to all users via a checkbox. As the admin, I'd like to create a template with our website standard templates that all users have access to, so they can create a survey and use our organization wide template. Currently I have commented out the CF code to allow users to select this, but then they have update permission on these templates.
